Mission Roles

The F/A-18C is a known all-weather supersonic, twin engine, carrier capable multirole combat aircraft. There are no bounds restricting mission assignment. The hornet is the swiss army knife of the commander in chief.

Continuous Improvement

Following each session, as a team, we playback each mission with Tacview and try to find gaps in our execution to improve upon. Whenever we find a need to improve tactics, we draw up ideas and perform drills to test which methods are best. We coin the term "tactic-ology".

Training Requirements

Learning the F/A-18C becomes much easier after you learn the basic fundamentals, which is why VFA-195 requires all new pilots to demonstrate basic knowledge of the Hornet prior to participating in regular sessions.

New pilots in Basics will have help every step of the way to make sure the amount of time needed to learn the basics is at a minimum.

VFA-195 "Dambusters"

Virtual VFA-195 of course! Our regular weekday sessions are either focused on training, or simulated missions. In either case they always start with a briefing, mission execution, and complete with a tactical review. After tactical review we ask each pilot to touch on what went well, what didn't. All of us are mature enough to invite any constructive criticism, and we hope you will too!
